Hi, I’m Yuliia
I’m a counsellor. But that word never felt big enough. What I really do is sit with people – when life stops making sense, when the world tilts, when everything familiar starts to crack.
I live and work in Abbotsford, BC. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #25744) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and my clients are mostly adults and youth who are trying to make sense of anxiety, trauma, grief, or just… life. Sometimes it’s heavy. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s laughter in the middle of the storm.
Education & Associations
- Master’s in Psychology (Counselling and Rehabilitation Work) – Alfred Nobel University
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #25744) – BCACC
- Gestalt Therapist – Interregional Institute of Gestalt Therapy and Art
- Gestalt Coach – Gestalt Coaching International
- Schema Therapy (Individuals) – Schema Therapy Center of New York
- Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) – ICEEFT

Therapeutic Approaches
My practice is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including:
- Gestalt Therapy – to increase self-awareness and connection to the present moment
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to understand and reframe unhelpful thought patterns
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – to strengthen emotional bonds and improve relationships
- Schema Therapy – to address long-standing patterns rooted in early experiences
- Somatic and Art-Based Methods – to support emotional expression and body awareness
I believe therapy should feel like a safe and collaborative space where you are met with compassion and respect. My role is to help you explore your inner world, build resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self.
Languages I Work In
I offer counselling in English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
Areas of Practice
I work with clients experiencing:
- Anxiety, stress, and burnout
- Depression and emotional overwhelm
- Grief and loss
- Relationship and family challenges
- Trauma and PTSD
- Life transitions and immigration-related adaptation
- Workplace stress and career-related issues
I work one-on-one, sometimes with families, sometimes in groups. I also support people in community settings like Maple Hope Foundation, where I lead trauma-focused groups for those displaced by war. And I’ve worked inside organizations, helping teams handle emotional strain, conflict, and burnout.

When I’m Not in Session
Outside of my counselling work, I enjoy quiet time in nature, creative expression, and spending time with my family and my lovely dog. Having lived and worked in different countries, I deeply understand the complexities of identity, belonging, and change — experiences that also shape my therapeutic approach.
